Isometric training is a great training dynamic system to add in any program you currently have. If you have a strong desire to increase volume/size in any part of your body or if you just have little to absolutely no strength to perform a movement you've always wanted to perform.
Then this is a great tactic to get that result. The way this works out is a simple as getting into the challenging point of ANY movement you want to perform be it with external weights or your own body weight. Once you reach that challenging point, you want to do a static hold in that position for as long as you can.
That's it, now when performing this, you will be working to failure with it for multiple sets, reps or time. ALSO, you may do an isometric hold at any point of the movement you wish to perform (it doesn't have to be a challenge point, you can adjust yourself according to your desire, just make sure you hold that position until you no longer can).
Done deal! I hope that makes sense. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please watch the video above, and if to no avail reach out below.
